Oland Wynton McIntosh, known as Oley was born on 30 May 1901 near Washington Center, Harrison, Missouri. His parents were Auris Harvey and Mary Gertrude McIntosh. Oley was the second oldest son in his family and grew up on a farm. He continued farming for the remainder of his life. I don't imagine he married before his 20th birthday as his eldest brother married in 1918, and a lot of the farming responsibilities would have fallen on the next son in line. My guess is that he married Lora Chloe Todd around 1922. This union produced five sons, one of which died in 1926 at the age of four. The other four survived into their adult years. Oley and Chloe also helped to raise his sister's son. He was a very intelligent, wise individual who loved to talk about his Scottish heritage. He died unexpectedly on 13 March 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, wife, and a grandson.
