Monday morning, June 27, 1977 at a local infirmary. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Belle Barnett Denton, daughters, Mrs. Lenard L. (Nell) Ball, Nashville, Mrs. Carl W. (Kay) Thomas, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Mrs. Thomas Wright, Huntsville, Ala.; son, Joe F. Denton, Mission, Kansas; grandchildren, Lenard L. Ball Jr. Aspen, Colorado, J. Steve Denton, Prairie Village, Kansas, Mrs. Alvin Gordon, Prairie Village, Kansas and John F. Morris, Jr. Murfreesboro, Tenn.; sister, Mrs. Lillie McDaniel, Augusta, Ga. His remains are at the Broadway Chapel, 1715 Broadway where services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10:00 o'clock by the Rev. Bob Mowery and the Rev. J. Harold Stephens. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Masonic Memorial service Tuesday evening at 7:30 P.M. Conducted by West Nashville Lodge No. 612 F & AM.
