Billy "Bill" McCoy of Stigler, Oklahoma was born August 1, 1932 in Neal, Kansas to Charles and Sadie Crouch McCoy and passed away September 19, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 84.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired from Cessna Aircraft Company as an engineer with 35 years of service. He was the owner of McCoy Builders. After living in Wichita, Kansas and Garfield, Arkansas , he moved to Stigler, Oklahoma and established McCoy Sans Bois Blonde d'Aquitaine Ranch. For several years he served on the board of directors of the American Blonde d'Aquitaine Association.

He is survived by; Wife, Virginia McCoy of the home, Three daughters: Marcia McCoy of Santa Fe, NM, Janell Elser and husband, Mark, of Fayetteville, AR, Valerie, Schaeffer and husband, Shawn, of Eufaula, OK, Three sons:
Monty McCoy and wife, Lori, of Wichita, KS, Jeff McCoy and wife, Lori, of Cave Creek, AZ, Brian Spears and wife, Sara, of Wichita, KS, 16 Grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren, Many nieces, nephews, and cousins

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers, and five sisters.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Neal Cemetery with Rev. John Craighead officiating. Burial will follow in under the direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
