WHITEWATER McCoy, Robert L. 85, passed away at his residence February 28, 2015. He was born September 9, 1929 in Neal, Kansas, the son of Charles and Sadie (Crouch) McCoy. He was an agent telegrapher for the railroad. On August 6, 1954, he was united in marriage to Virginia L. Watson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy R. Ross; 8 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Whitewater; sons: Mike of Kansas City; Scott (Kathy) of Mineola, TX; and Rob (Vicky) of Wentzville, MO; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother Bill (Virginia) of Stigler, OK. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Federated Church in Whitewater. A Memorial Fund has been established for the Whitewater Fire Department in care of Lamb Funeral Home, 205 S Main, Whitewater, KS, 67154.
