Bobby Lee Stivers of Bloomington died Oct. 29, 2007, at 2:05 p.m. at Bloomington Hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1959, in Bloomington to Morris and Evelyn (Skirvin) Stivers.

He attended Marlin Grade School, Unionville Middle School, Bloomington High School North and Bloomington High School South, where he graduated from in 1978. He was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Bloomington and he worked at GE in Bloomington for the last 20 years.

Survivors include his parents, Morris and Evelyn Stivers of Solsberry; his grandmother, Emma Skirvin of Spencer; three brothers, Morris Stivers Jr. of Shelburn, Tim Stivers Sr. (Debbie) of Bloomington and Dan Stivers of Springville; two sisters, Audrey Mullis and Robin Lawson, both of Bloomington; two nieces, Melissa (Ollie) Tharp of Linton and Jamie (Jay) Hobbs of Bloomington; five nephews, Brian (Kelly) Mullis and Tim Stivers Jr., both of Bloomington, Richard (Leah) Stivers and Joshua Stivers, both of Solsberry, and Owen Stivers of Shelburn; eight great-nieces and nephews, Donnie, Christina, Samantha, Jay, Haley, Ashley, Bradley Keith and Lyla; five aunts, Jeanna Booth (Buddy), Dorothy Plaisted (Elwood), Wanda Ludwig (Tom), Jean Stivers and Janice Stivers; four uncles, Claude Stivers, Larry Stivers, Raymond Stivers Jr. (Diana), and Mike Stivers; three great-aunts, Mary Jeffers, Hazel Cummings and Doris Fugich; and four cousins, Amy Brown (Stacy), Krystle Sowders, Racheal Williamson (Chris) and David Booth.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Ruby Stivers, and William H. Skirvin; great-niece, Bailey Tharp; brother-in-law, Paul Keith Mullis; two uncles, Robert Butcher and James Stivers; and two aunts, Dorothy Hall and June Hickman.

Pallbearers are Sylvester Kyles, Wyatt Cox, Phillip May, Randy Richardson, Danny Holsapple, Rick Murphy, Chad Stivers, Cliff Cox and Jeffery Phillips.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with the Rev. Gene Greeson officiating. Burial will be at Chambersville Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
