1. to Mary Jane Sparr on August 11, 1853 in Indiana Co., PA. She died in 1883.
2. to "Susie" Susanna (Reisinger) Chesley on February 2, 1892 in Indiana, Indiana Co., PA.
Archie and Mary were the parents of four children:

3. Hugh Weir (Smitten) Smeaton
4. "Belle" Meltha Belle (Smitten) Lewis
