Lucille P. Eggleston was born March 1, 1920 to Louis J. and Anna R. (Wolf) Dey in Gresham, NE. She passed away April 27, 2012 at her home in Plattsmouth, NE surrounded by her family at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 26 days.
She married Leonard H. Eggleston on August 21, 1942 in Las Vegas, NV. To this union were born Darlene and John.
Lucille worked for the Nebraska School for the Deaf in Omaha as a laundress. She belonged to the Omaha Association for the Deaf; was a Lutheran Memorial Alum and member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Deaf Church.
Lucille is survived by her daughter: Darlene and Elbie Lamb; son: John H. and Paula Eggleston; grandchildren: Denise and Patrick Stuart, Dr. Don and Shelly Evans, Ashley and Kenneth Adkins, John Eggleston, Jr., Brandi and Lance Scott, Shirene and Joshua Varner, Scott and Sheri Lamb; 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, loving husband Leonard H. Eggleston; sisters: Agnes Staben, Marjory Smith and Nadeen Nord; brothers: Arnold, Donald, Harold and Carlos Dey.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. – First Presbyterian Church – Plattsmouth, NE with Rev. Portia Iverson officiating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery rural Plattsmouth, NE.
The family suggests memorial s to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Omaha Association for the Deaf.
