"D. B. Nelms, 75, City Pioneer, Passes Away.
D. B. Nelms, 75 years old, pioneer resident of Ardmore, died last night at a hospital in Norman, where he had been taken for medical treatment, according to word received here.
Mr. Nelms has been in bad health for some time. He formerly lived at 208 North Washington, and was for 25 years associated with the C. P. Hall Furniture store.
Coming to Ardmore from Tennessee, where he was engaged in private business, Mr. Nelms has been a progressive citizen, loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sid Underwood, 208 North Washington, Ardmore, and Mrs. P. T. Skidmore, Fellow, Cal., and a son, Arch Nelms, of Ardmore. One brother, John Nelms, of Tennessee, survives.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the Harvey Brothers Chapel."
