Herman August was the son of Johann Carl & Anna Catherine (Stellmacher) Hannemann.

His life was short, Herman only three years old when he died.

A christening book for the King Chapel parish in Danzig shows he was born in September 1865 & baptized on 22 October 1865.

A death book from the same parish shows his he died on 9 Oct 1868 and was buried on 13 Oct 1868.
