Mrs. Walter S. Gordon, 78, former resident of 1055 Manship Street, died Tuesday in Lafayette, La., following a long illness.
She was the former Cleta Bonslagel, a native of Yazoo County, and had been a resident of Jackson for 50 years.
Mrs. Gordon was a member of Galloway Memorial Methodist Church.
Her husband, the late Walter Scott Gordon, died September 9, 1955.
Her survivors include a son, Walter S. Gordon, Jr. of Lafayette, La.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home, are incomplete.
