He was the son of Milton B Dorough & Emily M Cosper. He married Lucinda Caroline Baughman on Dec 20, 1877 & they had two children, Edmond Walter Dorough (1882-1957) m Florence Eufala Taylor (1885-1957) & Ada L Dorough who married H. B. Knott. George was killed by a runaway wagon team at age of 30.
After George died, his wife Lucinda married Robert A. Spearman.
