Alex Bonaventure, 76, of Erwinville, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at LSU-Earl K. Long Medical Center. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Church, Lakeland, on Tuesday, March 1, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Greg. Burial in Chenal Cemetery. Survived by his two daughters, Suzanne Salter and spouse Steve, and Cindy Reyna and spouse Mario; five grandchildren, Jason and Valerie Salter, Joshua David, Nicole Salter, Monica and Bobby Hatch and Angela and Phillip Grooms; and 11 great-grandchildren, Trevor and Blaine Rogers, Andruw and Brenton David, Lona and Wyatt Heine, Madison Hatch, Averi, Aubrie, Sierra and Noah Grooms. Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bonaventure; parents, Hewitt and Udell Bonaventure; and brother, Charles Douglas Bonaventure. Pallbearers will be Jason Salter, Joshua David, Bobby Hatch, Luke Boudreaux, Nick Cline and Trevor Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are Andruw David and Blaine Rogers. Arrangements by Renaissance Service Inc., Gonzales.
