A retired insurance customer representative and a resident of Erwinville, she died at 3:44 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, at Pointe Coupee General Hospital in New Roads. She was 73 and a native of Livonia. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home in New Roads on Sunday, June 1, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday, June 2, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Religious service at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland on Monday at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Greg Daigle. Entombment in Chenal Mausoleum. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alex Bonaventure, of Erwinville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Steve Salter, of Erwinville and Cindy and Mario Reyna, of DeRidder; a brother and sister-in-law, Alvin Joe and Judy Pickett, of Fordoche; grandchildren, Jason Salter, Josh and wife Wendi David, Nicole Salter, Monica and husband Bobby Hatch and Angela and husband Phillip Grooms; and great-grandchildren, Andrew David, Lona Heine, Madison Hatch, Wyatt Heine, Brenton David and Averi Grooms. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Angelina Chenevert Pickett; sisters, Alvis Pourciau and Golda Leonard; brothers, Lawrence Benny Pickett, Clifton "Boy" Pickett and Clarence "Putsy" Pickett; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Udell Amond Bonaventure and Hewitt Bonaventure. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland.
