Ronald W. "Pops" Grosswiler Sr., 85, of Norwalk, Ohio went to his heavenly home on January 7, 2021. He was born on May 17, 1935 in Norwalk to the late Charles and Evangeline (Robinson) Grosswiler.

Pops found joy in nearly everything he did, but he truly relished time outside working. He enjoyed road trips to the casino with his loving wife, Pat and cherished time with family.

Ron was a heavy equipment operator, most recently for Underground Utilities Inc. He was a member of the Norwalk Eagles Club 711, IUOE (Heavy Equipment Operators Union) and St. Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 ½ years; their children; brother; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his daughters Roseanne [Obermiller] and Kimberly [Gardner]; sisters, Jeanette Hersha [Wurth], Lucille Sickinger, Isabelle Grosswiler, Dolores Grosswiler [Leeds] and Marian Grosswiler [Ritchie]; brothers, Bernie, Paul, Charles, Rudolph, Jerome, Karl, Joseph and Lucian Grosswiler.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. Visitors to the funeral home are reminded to bring and wear a mask and be prepared for the possibility of waiting outside once current reduced capacity limits are reached until other visitors exit allowing for more room for social distancing.
