A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Angelo Paul Cascio will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Cathedral of Saint John Berchmans, 939 Jordan St, Shreveport, Louisiana. Father Charles Glorioso will officiate the service, assisted by Father Rothell Price. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will immediately follow the service in Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana. Due to COVID-19 the service is limited to immediate family only.

Angelo Paul Cascio was born December 3, 1926 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Rosario and Concetta Cascio and passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 5, 2021 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Angelo was 15 years old when he joined the United States Navy during World War II, where he served in both the South Pacific and Japan. He was active in both the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent De Paul Society where he received the Bishops Award for his service. Angelo served as an usher at St. Catherine's Church for over 50 years. He was an avid New York Yankees, LSU and New Orleans Saints fan. His favorite hobby was growing delicious peaches. Angelo will always be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Angelo is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 57 years, Mary Alice Keith and his siblings, Albert, Sammie, Johnnie, Pete, Camille Mattassa, Connie Aston and Mary Jane O'Brien.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Angela Ducote and husband, Joe of Baton Rouge, LA; son, Sam Cascio and wife, Fran of Dallas, TX; brothers, Anthony Cascio and wife, Martha and George Cascio all of Shreveport, LA; sister, Rosina Cascio of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Paul Ducote and wife, Mei of Tokyo, Japan, Julie Ducote Finkel and husband Greg of Glen Rock, NJ, Mark Cascio of Dallas, TX and Erica Cascio Levine and husband, Jason of Dallas, TX; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Stella Finkel; a host of nieces and nephews and special friend, Marge Rand.

Honoring Angelo as pallbearers will be Joe Ducote, Mark Cascio, Andrew Cascio, Roy C. Cascio, Roy J. Cascio and Sammy Matassa. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Cascio, George Cascio and Rosina Cascio.
