Marjorie Louise Baker Stroup Walters
Marjorie Louise Baker Stroup Walters died November 21, 2020 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie graduated from Ripley, OK high school. Upon graduation she moved to Fairfield, Illinois with her sister whose husband was there working in the oil industry. She became employed by Southern Wholesale Lumber Company and soon was promoted to Office Manager. It was in Fairfield she met and married Clyde L Stroup, DDS. Marjorie was an avid golfer. She was active in the Business & Women’s Professional Club where she served at local and State levels. Marjorie and Clyde then moved to Chicago. Marjorie was employed at Lawyer’s title upon retirement moved to Stillwater, OK to help care for her mother.

Marjorie enjoyed and loved her family. She enjoyed traveling and reminscing about the places she visited. Marjorie was reunited with and married Ralph L. Walters who professed that Marjorie was his sweetheart in grade school.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frances Wilma and Charley Lowell Baker; first husband Clyde L Stroup; sisters Charlene Dean, Retha Joan Gray; brothers Charles (Bill) Baker, Bob Baker, Jackie Baker, Jimmy Baker, Johnny Baker and Rickey Baker.

She is survived by her husband Ralph L. Walters; step-son Neal Walters; sister Shirley (Ronald) House; brother Jerry G Baker; her caregiver Karen Rebelo; and her nieces and nephews.
