Rickey Dean Baker, 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at his home in Jay, OK. He was born on July 2, 1945 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to his parents, Charley Lowel Baker and Frances Wilma Gordan-Baker.

Rick was a Truck Driver for Willis Shaw for several years, doing long hauls across the United States. He received his Million Dollar Watch for his Million Miles Safety Record. He loved doing carpentry, gardening, and reading his Bible and western novels. Rick will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Frances Baker; his brothers, Billy Baker, Johnny Baker, Bobby Baker, Jimmy Baker, Jackie Baker; his sisters, Joann Gray and Charlene Dean; his daughter, Tamara Lynn Baker; grandson’s, Justin Dean Baker and Nathaniel Burris.

Rick is survived by his wife of 22 years and 11 months, Sally Baker; Four daughters, Sheila Burris of Ada, OK, Melissa Cornell and husband Cecil of Roff, OK, Savannah Robison of Jay, OK and Laura Stapleton of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin; Two sons, Dusty Dean Baker and wife Lisa Ripley, OK and Brian Baker of Neosho, MO; Three grandson’s, Robbie Balthrop, Ryan Cornell and Jarin Baker; Three granddaughters, Kayla Baker, Megan Braddy and Macee Kay Baker; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Rick’s Celebration Of Life Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 2:00pm, May 15, 2020 at Jumper Cemetery, Jay, OK. Burial will be at Jumper Cemetery, Jay, OK.
