BOISE - LaRita Shepherd, 36, of Boise, a former Rexburg area resident, died of natural causes at a Boise hospital Sunday.
Born November 7, 1941 at Rexburg, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Hope. She grew up and was schooled in Rexburg.
She was married to Charles T. Shepherd on August 21, 1957 at Salt Lake City, Utah. The couple lived at Salt Lake until moving to Boise in 1946. She was a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include her husband of Boise; three sons, Scotty T. Shepherd, Lonni Ray Shepherd, and Shannon Merle Shepherd, all of the family home; a daughter, Brenda Lee Shepherd, also of the family home; her father, of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Vernon J. Hope of Salt Lake City and Lorin J. Hope of Kearns, Utah; six sisters, Rhea Higley of Granger, Utah; Lila Belle Higley, Ellen Anderson, and Joyce Marie Rich all of Kearns, Donna Miller of Chesterfield, Utah, and LaRee Monk of Rigby.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Jerread Chapel of the Chimes at Meridian by Bishop Carl G. Smith. Burial will be at the Dry Creek Cemetery.
