Lila Belle Hope Higley Bensley, 89, passed away on September 20, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born September 11, 1924 in Rexburg, Idaho to John Henry and Thora Evelyn Taysom Hope.

She married Lorin A. Higley on January 31, 1942; he preceded her in death in 1973. They moved to Salt Lake to spend the rest of their lives together. They had six children: Carol, Johnny, LaWana, Diane, David, and Teala. She married Marion J. Bensley in 1977. He passed away in 1995.

She loved her birds, being organized, going fishing, and family.

She is survived by her children, two sisters, one brother, fifteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, daughter, LaWana, two great-grandchildren, one brother, and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West). A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the mortuary and one hour prior to the services.
