Robert G. Anderson, 69, of St. Louis died Tuesday, May 21, 1985, at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Alward-Carter Funeral Home in St. Louis with the Rev. Gerald Bates officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Gardens Cemetery in Seville Township.
Mr. Anderson was born Oct. 15, 1915, in Gratiot County to Melvin and Elise (Carman) Anderson. He married Georgenia R. Arman on April 9, 1939, in Alma.
A lifelong resident of the area, Mr. Anderson retired in 1978 from Gratiot Metals after 25 years of service.
Mr. Anderson is survived by two sons, William and LeRoy, both of St. Louis; one daughter, Nina Sterling of St. Louis; five sisters, Elizabeth Bliesner, Iva Simmons, Lula Church and Goldie Cassle, all of Lansing, and Mrs. Rea Andrews of Alma; three brothers, Ward of Alma and Ford and Lloyd, both of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgenia, on Oct. 27, 1972; and by a son, DeWayne in July of 1970.
