Benjamin A. Bacus
LEWISTON - Services for Benjamin A. Bacus, 83, of 3622 Fourteenthj, Lewiston, who died Saturday at a Lewiston nursing home, will bne conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Council.
He was born Aug. 5, 1891, in Iowa. He moved to Middle Fork as a young boy and later to Council, where he ranched. He moved to Lewiston in 1949 and worked for Smith's Garden Square Nursery and Lorenz Pontiac. He married Ida Mae Matteson Nov. 19, 1914, at Cambridge. She died in 1955. He married Roxie B. Lynn Aug. 14, 1961, at Lewiston.
He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Salubria Lodge No. 31, AF&AM, both Cambridge.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Elmer of Eagle, and Oliver of Flagstaff, Ariz.; four daughters, Frances Zierlein and Doris Fitzgerald, both of Orofino, Hazel Rode of napa, Calif., and Jean McGee, of Peck; a brother, Eugene; a sister, Allie Ketchum, of Caldwell; 30 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.
