He was a self–employed appliance repairman. He served his country in the Army Air Corps in World War II and Korea. He was a member of the VFW and the United Methodist Church of Waurika, Okla. He and Jean Ball Christian were married July 11, 1942, in Dalhart, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; one daughter, Karen and her husband Larry Murray of Roff, Okla.; one grandson, William Christian Murray and his wife Nancy of Weatherford, Okla.; and two great-grandchildren, Finn Christian Murray and Ashlin Grace Murray.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs., July 7, 2005, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, with William Christian Murray officiating.
