Loretta was born June 20, 1932, in Dalhart and was raised there. She married Charlie Snyder in 1947 and was his wife, companion and homemaker. As a rancher's wife, she provided family structure to five children as Charlie worked for many area ranches such as the TO Cattle Co., 6666 Ranch, LS Ranch, Cross F Ranch, Snead Cattle Co. and the North Ranch. About 20 years ago, Loretta and Charlie relocated to Amarillo, where she continued her 14-year employment with Gebo's from Dalhart to Amarillo as Charlie worked for the Range Riders. As a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Loretta placed her family's needs and support over her own and never was one to ask for anything in return.
