Nancy Wagoner Meador, the first wife of Jonas Meador (1817-1863), is documented in the above MEADOR FAMILIES OF VIRGINIA and Points West, Vol. I, p. 179. She is buried in an unmarked grave at the Blackwater Chapel Cemetery, along with her older brother, Matthew W. Wagoner. Their father, Edmond Monroe Wagoner was a Methodist circuit rider minister, and Blackwater Chapel was one of his circuit congregations in the early 1850's.
