Funeral Services for Esther Seger, 75, Elk City resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 2, 2020 in the Community Fellowship Church in Hammon, OK, officiated by Pastors Dolan Ivey, Gerald Panana, Delfred “Bunny” Whitecrow and Jan Phillips. Burial will follow in the Hammon Indian Mennonite Cemetery in Hammon, OK under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home.

A Traditional Wake Service will be held 7:00 A.M. till 10:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in the home at 9559 North 2050 Road, Hammon, OK.

Esther Seger (Me’ o’n e’va – Making Road) was born February 19, 1945 to John Miles and Minnie (Whiteman) Miles in Hammon, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 in the Elk City Regional Hospital in Elk City, Oklahoma.

Esther was raised in Hammon where she also attended school. She married Homer Seger and they made Hammon and Elk City their home. She worked in the furniture factory in Elk City and it later it turned into a jean factory. She also worked for Lucky Star Casino as a hostess.

She was a member of the Hammon Indian Mennonite Church; when she was a young lady she love to play softball; she enjoyed bead work, playing Bingo and going to the casino.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, John Homer Seger, Jr. and a nephew, Gary Don Chandler.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Bullcoming, Frances Bullcoming, Kathy Bullcoming and Sherri Seger, all of Elk City; sons, Tommy Dean Bullcoming, Wilburn Dean Bullcoming, both of Hammon and Donald Leroy Bullcoming, Seiling; three sisters, Elaine Bird, Clinton, Cheryl Carter, Hobart and Mary Miles, Hammon; brothers, James Miles, Hammon and Donald Miles, Jr., Elk City.

She is also survived by 25 grand children, and 17 great-grandchildren; adopted daughters, Juanita Trout, Janette Starr, Fiona Whiteskunk, Rowena Beaver, Susi Wolfmule, Dana Buffalomeat, Josephine Buffalomeat and Sara Orange; adopted sons, Emmitt Red Bird, Jr., and Burl Buffalomeat.
