Donald Lee Miles, Sr., (Ma'he'on'ehe Mo'ehno'ha "Medicine Horse") was born September 13, 1954, to John Miles and Minnie (Whiteman) Miles in Clinton, OK and passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, in the Great Plains Medical Center in Elk City, OK.
Donald was raised in Hammon, OK where he attended Hammon Schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1972 was honorable discharged in 1976. He was married to Evelyn Highwalker on December 25, 1977, and she preceded him death in 2004.
He has been employed by the Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma as an Economic Developer.
He enjoyed playing pool, bowling, beadwork, playing softball and watching Hammon Basketball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Rudy Miles, sister, Ester Seger and a son Louis Marshall.
He is survived by four daughters, Donita Philips and husband, Jeremey, and Roseann Miles, all of Elk City, OK, Candi Miles, Clinton and Kathy Bullcoming, Elk City, OK, sons, Donald "Sink" Miles, Jr., Hammon, OK and Charles Highwalker Hammon, OK and Christopher Miles, OKC, OK, three sisters, Elaine Bird, Clinton, Cheryl Carter, Hobart and May Ann Miles, Hammon and brother, James Miles, Hammon, OK.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
