Mrs. Marie Carter Mass Saturday
Mrs. Marie D. Carter. 53, died Friday in Tucson at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born
Aug. 3, 1920 in Bound Brook. N.J.
Mrs. Carter came to Prescott with her family in 1939.She was graduated from Prescott High
School in 1938 and took her nursing training at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco,
Calif. and was graduated as a registered nurse in 1941.
She is survived by; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mignella Sr. of Prescott; a
son, Walter T. Carter of Longmont, Colo; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Groves of Tucson,
Lynne Carter and Susan Carter, also of Tucson; a brother, Mike Mignella Jr. of Phoenix; a
sister, Mrs. Joseph L. Briggs of Cypress, Calif; and three grandchildren.
Mass of the resurrection will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m., Saturday morning
with burial following in the family plot at Mountain View Cemetery.
Ruffner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
