Anna was born in Waldmuenchen, the daughter of Daniel L. Brueckl and Maria Roetzer.

Death of Mrs. Joseph Blau.
Friends of the family were shocked on Monday morning last, to learn that Mrs. Annie Blau, wife of Jos. Blau, of Plain, had passed from this life. Death came to her suddenly at about ten o'clock.
Mrs. Blau was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Brickel, and was born in Germany about 38 years ago. She came with her parents to this country twenty-one years ago, and had been married thirteen years at the time of her death. She leaves her husband with five children. The funeral took place from the Catholic Church at Plain, J. G. Laurer, pastor, yesterday morning, April 27th. A very large number of neighbors and friends came to pay their last tribute of respect and for the last time to look upon the face of one who, with her babe in her arms, seemed not as one who had laid down the burdens of life, but rather as the mother who, fatigued by the sacred duties that fell upon her, was in restful sleep.

Note: Death certificate lists birth-date as September 1859.
Death date on grave marker minus 38 years 7 months (Sept 1859).
