Mrs. Willie Mae Jenkins was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Interlachen. She passed away Aug. 22, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Floyd, Robert H. Jenkins, Pfc of the United States Marine Corps; daughter, Barbara Jenkins; two sisters, Malvise Jackson and Mercede Floyd.
She leaves to mourn her departure a loving husband, Mr. Robert Jenkins Sr.; her devoted children, Ruby Lee (Charles) Smith, James Jenkins, Rosalind (Urban) Guthrie, Veronica Reaves (Dennis Robertson); 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jenkins will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 29, at noon at the Bethel A.M.E. Church in Interlachen, with the Rev. Ostine Moore as the eulogist. Interment will be at Sister Springs Cemetery in Interlachen. Viewing of the remains will be Friday, Aug. 28 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
