He was born September 3, 1926 to Jesse and Della (Barnes) Abel in Seminole County, Oklahoma.
Bo was raised in Seminole County and attended Prairie View School through the 10th grade until he was drafted. He proudly served his county in the U.S. Army build up in Hawaii of Infantry for the invasion of Japan. He was honorably discharged.
Bo married Wanda Lee Coffman on October 23, 1947 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and she preceded him in death after 60 years of marriage on February 2, 2007.
Bo worked as a long haul truck driver. He worked for Shayler Trucking and Sewell Trucking for before becoming an Independent Truck Driver. After retiring from trucking he became a diesel mechanic.
He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, watching sports, farming and gardening.
Bo was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Abel; infant son, Kenneth Lee Abel; granddaughter, Kentrina LaShane Wissman; his parents, Jesse and Della Abel; 2 brothers, Adrian Edwin Abel and Jesse Clayton Abel; 2 sisters, Maxine Moore and Betty Yvonne Abel.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 and from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2017 with family gathering to meet with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2017 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Dominy, University Baptist Church in Shawnee officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
