Larry Lee Poff, 69 years old passed away Tuesday evening in Las Vegas, NV. Born In Huntsville, Alabama on January 26th, 1951.
Oldest son of Sarah Moore (deceased), and Step son of Jack Moore (deceased).

Sadly in March 2020. Larry was diagnosed with Sarnoma Cancer, given six months to live, with the possibility of a cure with Chemo Treatments. He fought like a Lion. When Chemo stopped he began to go frail, and slowly his heart could not carry his pain and suffering any longer, he died from a heart attack.

Larry was raised in Huntington Beach California in his youth. He was married to Alice J. Poff (deceased) for twenty eight years until her passing in 1997.
Larry met & fell in love with his sweet Alice atop the California Grapevine, in Frazier Park, California. At the time he was mechanic.
Larry remained a Widower for twenty-there years until his passing.

Larry left behind son, Donald Poff formerly of Las Vegas NV, now TN, two grandsons, Daymean & Robert Lee Poff. A step son Richard Smith, of LV, NV. Larry raised him like a son from the time he was two yrs old.
Larry was one of four siblings, leaving behind his younger brother Roy (Diane) Poff of Las Vegas, NV, youngest sister Susie Poff of Las Vegas NV. Older sister Sissy (Lee) Williamson of NC.
With many nephews and nieces from NV to VA who loved and adored their Uncle.

Larry and his family moved to Las Vegas NV, following his parents to a better dream.
Larry worked in construction, for Garnowich Rock and Gravel for many years.
He took his knowledge of weapons, and went into security for major casino's upon the Las Vegas Strip. He continued security work until shortly before his passing.
Larry loved to hunt and fish all his life, with his Dad and younger brother Roy. He loved his country the USA, the American Flag and country music.
He liked working on cars, repairing things with his hands, and he had the patients for it.

Larry was a simple man, kind, sweet and always there for his family & friends. He loved the Holidays, especially the Holiday Dinners his Mother, Grandma and sister (Sissy) would make.

His absence in his family's life will be a difficult one. For he truly was one of a kind. He was a sweet soul, a wonderful man.
He now has his wings, and Jesus came and took him Home. He walks among the deer, holds fish within his hands, and he smiles without pain now.
His son lost a hero, his siblings lost a brother, the fourth part of the Poff kids.
We will Love, Cherish and miss him for all the days of our life.

A celebration of life will be done at a later time to honor and cherish Larry's and Alice's memory, with family. Larry's final wishes as of his sweet wife Alice was for their ashes scattered together. We can only pray their final requests in life be fulfilled & be together.

Note: A warm thank you from Larry's family, to his younger sister Susie, for being there for him, when he couldn't go or get for himself anymore, due to his son, being a cross country diesel truck driver. Susie stayed and was by his bed side for over two years, while in & out of the hospitals. Giving him love & encouragement thru his final days. She was the perfect doting sister, thru thick & thin she was with him. Her love, encouragements & faith kept him going. God love Larry he was more worried of her for she rested not, by his bedside she stayed, loving & strong to the very end. Thank you Susie, no one could of done it better.
