On Friday morning at 6:05 AM Jack Moore of Black Mountain, NC, went home to be his Lord from John Keaver Center. He was happy and ready to meet his Savior.

He slipped away in no pain and had a sweet smile on his face. Shortly before he passed, within minutes and moments , he asked his nurse for ice cream, that I had brought him the day before. She filled his request. Within an hour, she returned to his room, and Daddy was awake, (she ask him "Mr. Moore, why aren't you asleep?}He replied could I have another ice cream? She went off to get it for him, and brought it back to him. She sat there with him while he enjoyed his sweet treat, tucked his sheets in, and left his room. Within a few minutes she returned and Daddy had passed away peacefully. She told me that he spoke of his love of his wife and how he missed her so, and the love of his children.

He was married to Sarah F. Moore (deceased) for fifty two years before her passing.

He was the son of Kenneth Coleman and Cleola Gray, both deceased. Youngest brother to Kenneth Coleman(deceased), sisters Catherine and Patti of California.

With his wife Sarah, they raised five children, oldest daughter, Sissy Williamson( husband Lee) of Western NC, sons Larry L.Poff ( widowed)of Las Vegas, NV, Roy Poff, & wife(Diane) of Las Vegas, NV, daughter, Susan G. Poff, of Las Vegas, NV (& son of Susan Poff, John M. Moore) all of Las Vegas Nevada.
The beautiful story about Jack Moore, when he married his wife Sarah in 1959, she had four children by a previous marriage. And with love & devotion he helped raise his children. He also raised with his wife, his youngest daughter's( Susan) son, John M. Moore of Las Vegas, NV, like a son. Any man can make a baby, but it takes a special man to become and Father, and Jack Moore was a great Father to his five kids, he loved and helped raise as his own. We loved him dearly, he was a great man in our eyes and heart, he was Dad.

Jack left behind, Grandsons, Christopher Poff (Sarai) of Las Vegas Nevada, Donald Poff of TX .Grand-daughter Samantha Poff of Virginia. Grandsons, Health and Roger Poff of Lebec Ca. Great grand children, Jaide & Bryce Poff of Las Vegas, NV, Great grandsons, Johnny and Joseph Moore of Las Vegas, NV, & Great grandsons, Daymean & Robert Lee Poff all of Las Vegas Nevada. With many great grand children across the map.

Jack worked in construction all his life, retiring from California and Nevada Laborer's Unions. He loved his work, and was well loved and admired by his fellow workers. He helped build Las Vegas NV for many years.

In 2010 he and his wife came to live with his oldest daughter Sissy& Lee in Western North Carolina, for both their health's were declining.
He was a sweet kind man, people loved him and liked him. He was a quiet man, never asking for much in life, just all get along in life.
He raised five kids, that adored him, and loved him unconditionally, he was Dad, Poppa, Daddy, a wonderful example for his children. He will be missed and loved for always.
Now he is walking with his Bears he loved to watch in the yard, his deer he loved, and the fish beneath the waters he loved to catch.

He didn't suffer, went quietly in the early morn, as he wished, just he, God and Momma, together forever.

Arrangements are being made at Penland and Sons Funeral Home of Swannanoa NC. Cremation is his request.
Instead of flowers, please make contributions on behalf of Jack F. Moore to CarePartners/John Keever Solice Center of Asheville NC. We thank CarePartners for being so kind to Dad, it's where he wanted to be, nearer to Mom. They fulfilled his requests and placed him next to her room she passed away in, thank you CareParters

On behalf of Jack Moore's family we thank you all for knowing our Dad, loving him through the years and making his transition from this life to the other a sweet one.

Today on this date, October 04th, 2014 of which would of been Jack and Sarah's fifty fifth wedding Anniversary, on a beautiful Fall day, Jack and Sarah's ashes were scattered together upon their son-in laws and daughter's property. Beautiful words of love and prayers with tears were said & their ashes were scattered together, by their daughter (Sissy) & son in law (Lee),onto a beautiful meadow grass pasture. Today they are together at long last, for always, resting in peace, wrapped in the love they shared for so many years. XOXOXO
