Funeral services were held for Mrs. Minnie Lee Atkins, 93, of Winona Friday, July 5, 1985, at 2 p.m. in Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. H.B. Vinson assisted by the Rev. Dan Beardain, preached the funeral and burial was in the Poplar Creek Nations Cemetery.
The Vernon, Ala. native died at Kilmichael Hospital Tuesday, July 3, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Atkins is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Margie McKnight of Winona, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Poplar Creek Nations Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were Wayne Cartledge, Jimmy Latham, Marvell Morgan, W.A. Austin, John Pearson and Wofford Nail.
Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
