Elaine Belle O’Brien, age 87, of Columbus, Ohio passed away June 8, 2020 at her home following an extended illness. She was born on June 18, 1932 in Hitchins, Kentucky to her parents, Sherman Bair and Iva Salyers. Elaine and her husband, Carl O’Brien were married on August 13, 1949. They shared 52 years together. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Walker and Cynthia (Jeff) Wine; grandchildren, Clay, Caryn, Cynthia, Sherry, Carl, and Bryan; great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Ethen, Declan, Eileen, Sierra, Collin, Brendan, and Colton; brothers, Charles, Bill, and Andy; sisters, Opal and Iris; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gray O’Brien; sons Brian O’Brien and Carl Bradly O’Brien; grandchildren, Kevin O’Brien and Elizabeth Wine; brothers, William, Junior, and Rufus; and sisters, Dorothy, Susie, and Martha. The family would like to thank Mount Carmel Hospice for their care and support during Elaine’s illness. Family will be notified of the memorial service and burial at a later date.
