FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR J.H. CUNNINGHAM, FRIDAY, APRIL 21

Funeral rites were held at the Christian church here Friday morning, April 21, for J.H. Cunningham, age 72, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Shelby Story, Wednesday. The Rev. E.E. Watson assisted by Rev. P.A. Lewis, paster of the Nazarene church, officiated. Burial was made in the Broken Bow cemetery under the direction of the Smith
Funeral Home of Broken Bow. He was buried beside his wife who passed away March 13th of this year.

John Henry Cunningham was born near Camden, Ark., May 16, 1867. He grew to manhood in Arkansas and later moved to Texas and then in 1917 moved to McCurtain county where he has since made his home and has been engaged in sawmill work.

Surviving are twelve children; Mrs. Shelby Story and Garland Cunningham of Broken Bow, George Cunningham of Prescott, Ark., Robert Cunningham of Chicago, Waddle Cunningham and Mrs. Mary Bateman of Hope, Ark., and six
younger children, Homer, J.H. Jr., Virdeller, A.G., Betty Jo, and J.W. Cunningham who live at the family home north of Broken Bow. Also one sister, Mrs. Etta Walden, Saltillo, Texas, and one brother George Cunningham of Goldonna, La.

All of the children and his sister attended the funeral services.
