She was a 1946 graduate of Wirt County High School and had worked for G. C. Murphy and Ames Department Store for 43 years. She enjoyed baking, making candy and gardening.
She is survived by her sister, Gladys Watson of Parkersburg and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Beatrice Fought, Alma Fought, Marie Young and Maggie Goodwin and her brothers, Rex W. Watson, Julius F. “Doc” Watson and Melvin P. Watson.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the K of P Cemetery in Elizabeth, WV. Visitation will be at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
