Ernest P. Bernier

"At his home on Carroll Street last Friday occurred the death of Ernest P. Bernier in his 23d year.

Mr. Bernier was born in Exeter July 15, 1912, the son of Peter E. and Georgianna C. Bernier. An active young man, he was by occupation a shoe worker, and he had possessed an unusual artistic ability, from which he had developed considerable of a reputation as a sign painter. He had also played the drums in various local orchestras. He leaves his parents, two sisters, and three brothers.

The funeral was held in St. Michael's Church on Monday morning, Rev. Daniel J. Cotter celebrating the requiem mass. Rev. George J. Donnelly read the committal service at the grave. The bearers were all friends, Mitchell Dirsa, Wilfred Gaulin, Alexander Gorski, George Marcoux, Joseph Tardiff, and Donald Turcotte.
