February 12, 1935 - March 8, 2020
Vivian Marie Webb (Bailey), passed peacefully on March 8, 2020, in Canoga Park, California. Vivian was born in Berryville, Arkansas on February 12, 1935 to Elmer and Lorene Bailey.
In 1954, she married Harry Webb and settled in Kansas City Missouri. Vivian and Harry formed a partnership in business as well as in life, building custom homes and winning awards in the Kansas City suburbs, for thirty years. Taking an early retirement, the couple relocated to a beautiful lakeside home they designed, in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
It was there that Harry passed away unexpectedly in 1994. Vivian remained in their community for the next 17 years, surrounded by friends who accompanied her to the golf course, a multitude of restaurants, art galleries, book club meetings, and more. Although a mere five feet tall, Viv was a force to be reckoned with. She loved to laugh, and her adventurous spirit took her from her birthplace in northwest, Arkansas, to the top of Machu Picchu in Peru. During her lifetime, she traveled to Asia, Europe, Mexico, Central, and South America.
She lives on in her children, Steven Webb of Pasadena, California, and Diane Read (Webb) of Agoura Hills, California, grandchildren Dakota Reiss (Read), Jackson Read, great grandchild Gage Reiss, and in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Those who would care to, may make donations, in Vivian’s name, to the Alzheimer’s Association of America.
