Richard Leon Bailey, age 72, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on April 5, 2017, at St. Lukes East Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Visitation services will be held at Langsford Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12th with a memorial service to follow on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. also at Langsford Funeral Home.

Rich was born on May 25th, 1944, in Berryville, Arkansas. Rich was a career salesman and very much enjoyed working and interacting with people. After selling cars for many years and working in many facets of the auto industry, he retired from Adesa Auto Auction as a sales representative. Rich had an incredible knack for remembering people and their names. He was a master storyteller, an avid sports fan, and a 60’s rock and roll enthusiast. He enjoyed reading, working and spending time outdoors, and good barbeque. Rich was married to Lou Gladden for 14 years and she preceded him in death in 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Gladden; his parents, Elmer and Lorene McKinney Bailey; and his sister, Joan Bailey. Survivors include his sons, daughter, grandchildren, siblings and many nieces and nephews.
