Eva was born Evaline Sexton . She was the daughter of Rev. George Washington Sexton, of Letcher Co. Kentucky, and Kathryn K Morton Sexton of Limerick, Ireland. About 1909, Eva married John Wesley Jacobs, and they had 6 children. Evaline spent the last years of her life living in Pikeville, KY as a widow after husband number 2, Frank Lucas passed away.
George Washington Sexton was the son of Elvira Sexton, and Tivis Benjamin Collins. Kathryn was the youngest of six children born in Ireland to James and Mary A. Morton.
