Mr. McDonald was born on January 2, 1938 in Worth County, to the late Bob Washington "B.W." and Lena Davis McDonald. He had lived in Worth County all of his life and was a veteran having served in the United States National Guard. Mr. McDonald was retired from the Worth County Tax Commissioner's Office after 27 years of service. He enjoyed singing and playing music, crossword puzzles, fishing, working in his yard and going to the beach, but most importantly spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. McDonald was a faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene McDonald of Sylvester; children, Jeanie Blanchard (Scotty), Anthony McDonald (Sonja) and Tonya Singletary (Mitchell) all of Sylvester; grandchildren, Scotty "S.J" Blanchard Jr., (Lauren), Haley Stewart (Drew), Erin Blanchard, Zayne Bennett (Harley), Kaitlyn Lawson (Clay), Sydney Gibson (Brandon), Lena Singletary and David Singletary; great grandchildren, Jake and Jax Blanchard, Jenny and Joanna Stewart, Keagan McDonald, Rosalie Lawson, Gavin McDonald and Corin Gibson; brother, Jimmy McDonald (Betty) of Sylvester; a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his siblings, Albert McDonald, Paul McDonald, John Lee McDonald, Bobby McDonald, James McDonald, Theophilus McDonald, Earline Goodwin, Marjorie Free , Cleo Massey and Geneva Jones.
