Joe was the President of CBBC (Citizens Bank of Blount County) for over 40 years. He was an avid runner, biker, hiker, loved the mountains.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Beulah Rodgers; three sisters and one brother.
He leaves behind his two daughters, Leann Hicks (Tim) and Mary Jo (Scott) Willocks; grandchildren, Chad (Angie) Hicks and Beth (Grayson) Wright; great-grandchildren, Jacob Cao, Peyton Wright, Harper Hicks, and Ella Kate Wright; he also leaves behind his nephew, Mike (Mary) Martin, Scott Richmond; nieces, Marisa (Stacey) Julian, Shelby Clement, Dianne Wheeler, Krista Richmond; half-sister, Betty Hundley.
At the present time, there is no services planned due to the Corona virus.
