Daughter of Robert Henry & Emaline Druscilla “Mellie” Graham Gilliland.
Her first husband was James Prue Garrett, who was the husband of her four sons and one daughter. He passed away suddenly in April 1934.
She later married Dock Allen Hall. He passed away in 1958, and he and Ethel share a grave marker with her parents. See their entries for the photo.
Her obituary stated she was retired from Slater Manufacturing Co.
Survived by her daughter, Marie Stephens of Macon, GA; a son, Frank Garrett of Piedmont; and three sisters, Lunia G. Messer of Greenville, Fannie G. Siegal of Liberty, and Nellie G. Pruitt of Cramerton, NC.
Funeral services: Friday, June 19, 1981, Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.
