Son of William Henry (Bud) Wilson & Laura Garrett Wilson. After his mother's death, he and his sisters were raised by Laura's family.

Husband of Ethel Gilliland Garrett.

He was a resident of 39 Webster Street, Slater, where he had lived for the past six years, moving there from Caroleen, NC. He was employed as overseer in the cloth room at the old Laurens mill.

He was a member of the Junior Order, United American Mechanics, Middle Council No. 78, and was a Baptist.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Marie Garrett; four sons, Manly Garrett, Arthur Garrett, Frank Garrett, and Alvin Garrett; and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Loftis of Greenville.

Funeral services: Friday, April 27, 1934, Woodside Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. W.H. Harbin.

Burial: Graceland Cemetery.

Pallbearers: J.E. Aiken, Wiley Brock, J.S. Jones, Dacus Stewart, W.B. Christopher, and Frank Bishop, all fellow members of the Junior Order, United American Mechanics, Middle Council No. 78.

As was still the custom of the day, his remains were returned to the family home for visitation until the time of the funeral.
