Etta K. Armstrong

Vancouver - A homemaker who enjoyed gardening and being involved with her community, Etta Krohn Armstrong, 99, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, in Vancouver.

Mrs. Armstrong, whose maiden name was Hudson, was born Jan. 3, 1904, in Clatskanie, Ore., and had lived in Clark County 95 years.

She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Association and spent many years with th Girl Scouts. Later in life she sang with the Marshallaires.

Her first husband, Theodore G. Krohn, died in 1956, and her second husband, Elmer Armstrong, died in 1978.

Survivors include two daughters, Lovelle Bair and Mildred Burnett, both of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Sunnyside Cemetery in Washoual. Brown's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
