Evalene F. Jones

Evalene Frances Jones, who liked traveling around the United States with senior travel tours, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, in Vancouver. She was 91.
Mrs. Jones was a past president of the Woman's Club of Washougal and liked to fish and garden. She also enjoyed baking, canning and cooking.
She was born July 9, 1909, in Kingston, Ark., and lived in the Camas-Washougal area since 1920. Her maiden name was Hudson.
Her first husband, Fritz Ammeter, died in 1929; her second husband, Walter B. Jones, died in 1993; and a daughter, Julie Jones, died in 1943.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan E. Soost of Washougal and Linda G. Seaberg of Vancouver; one son, Danny D. Jones of Vancouver; one sister, Etta Armstrong of Vancouver; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
There will be no service. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas was in charge of arrangements.
