Mrs. Mabel Ellen (Rowlett) Hubbard, 97, of Tuckerman died Wednesday, August 01, 2007 at Newport. She was born September 6, 1909 at Swifton, the daughter of Dewitt Andrew and Ethel (King) Rowlett. She married Mr. Lowell Hubbard on January 10, 1926. They moved to Michigan during the war where she worked at J. L. Hudson's department store as Supervisor. They moved back to Tuckerman in 1969, where she was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Hubbard was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Lowell Hubbard in 1987; one daughter, Mildred Mielke; her parents; four brothers, August Rowlett, Andrew Rowlett, Thurman Rowlett, and Jack Rowlett; and four sisters, Agnes Montgomery, Geneva "Nicki" Zumstein, Esther Erickson, and Lola Lovelace. She is survived by one brother, Warren Rowlett of Swifton; three grandsons, Philip Mielke of Jonesboro, Rick Mielke, and Otto "Skip" Mielke, III, both of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; five great-grandchildren, Pam Anderson of Summers, Arkansas, Mary Beth Soden of Tuckerman, Jennifer Elliott of Windsor, Canada, Jonathan Mielke, and Joshua Mielke, both of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; three great-great grandsons, Wade Hulett, Jake Anderson, and Blake Soden; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Stan Rowlett, Warren Rowlett, Jr., Doug Stapleton, Loman "John" Johnson, Robert Combs, and Leslie Roberts.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Winfrey officiating. Interment will be in Haynes Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, August 3, 2007 5:30- 8:00 p.m.
