JOE L. GAUT was the son of Tom Gaut and Mrs. Mattie (Carraway) Gaut.

Obituary
"Funeral services for Joe L. Gaut, of 1808 Spring Street, Marshall, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Red Oak United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Waddleton officiating. Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rambo Funeral Home. Mr. Gaut died after a short illness at 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 1991 at Marshall Memorial Hospital. He was born September 4, 1914, in Hallsville, a son of Tom and Mattie Gaut. He attended Hallsville public schools, was a cement finisher and carpenter, and was a member of Red Oak United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Alonzo Gaut, of Wichita Falls; one sister, Charlotte Strolger, of Marshall; and one special niece, Frances Singleton; and a number of nieces and nephews."
