K. ARTHUR GAUT was the son of Tom Gaut and Mrs. Mattie (Carraway) Gaut.

He was the husband of Mrs. Carrie Bell (Johnson) Gaut whom he married on February 21, 1926 in Harrison County, Texas.

In addition to the details about the funeral services, the obituary also reported:
"A native of Harrison County, he was the son of Tommie and Mattie Gaut. He died Thursday, June 11, at Marshall Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of 1902 Dogan Street, Marshall. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Bell Gaut; one daughter, Mrs. Dessie Lee Vort, of San Francisco, California; four sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Collier, Mrs. Corine Johnson, Mrs. Lucinda Johnson and Mrs. Charlotte Stroger, all of Marshall; five brothers, Preston Gaut, Aaron Gaut, Alex Gaut and Joe L. Gaut, all of Marshall, and Frank Gaut, of Dallas; and eight grandchildren. Burial arrangements under the direction of Rambo Funeral Home."

His sister, Mrs. Estella Gaut Latson, of Fort Worth, also survived him in death.
