INDIANAPOLIS
Jean McNurney

Jean A. McNurney, 68, died Saturday at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She had been a resident of Indianapolis for 20 years.

She was born Aug. 20, 1923, in Edinburg. Her parents were Harold Wirey and Ethel (Stucker) Wirey. She was married to Arthur McNurney. He preceded her in death March 31, 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Rita Sizemore [niece] of Greenwood and Janice Smith of Hamilton, Ohio; three stepsons, Patrick McNurney of Indianapolis and Michael McNurney and Timothy McNurney of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by a sister, Glendon True.

She was a bank teller at Indiana National Bank in Indianapolis for 15 years, retiring in 1987.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church.

The arrangements are being handled by the Cremation Society of Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

Jean A. Wirey McNurney, 68, died March 7 at Community Hospital South. She had been a resident of Indianapolis for 20 years.

She had been a bank teller for 15 years at Indiana National Bank, retiring in 1987. She also was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Janice Smith of Hamilton, Ohio; a niece, Rita Sizemore of Greenwood; three step-sons, Patrick McNurney of Indianapolis and Michael McNurney and Timothy McNurney both of Ft. Lauderdale; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Wirey and Ethel Stucker; husband, Arthur McNurney who passed away March 31, 1989; and a sister, Glendon True.

Arrangements were made by Cremation Society of Indiana.
